Our 2017 Advent Offering

Last year was our first experience of having an Advent Offering which replaced our February Sacrifice Offering. What a thrill it was to receive nearly $67,000! This offering helps in providing disaster relief when such events occur on our mission fields. It also assists in the operational costs. This past year funds from this account enabled us to send finances to Yemen for the Humanitarian Relief and just recently, to our churches in the Caribbean region due to the damage from the hurricane.

Our theme for the offering this year is The Way in a Manger. Truly, He is the way and the truth and the life… John 14:6. Let’s not hold back in sharing The Way with friends, neighbors and those around the world. You may not feel called to another country to share The Way, but we can all lighten the load of those who have responded to the call God has given them. Let’s work at making this offering the best yet! The goal this year is to raise $75,000.

Christian Education Dept. Announces Walk Through the New Testament Training Event

If you were a part of the Walk Through The Old Testament training last year at OCU you know it was an exciting day. It was the most successful training we had done in many years. You will be pleased to know that we are offering the Walk Through the New Testament on Saturday, September 12th. We will be returning to the campus of Ohio Christian University from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm for this training.

Two separate events will run at the same time. We will have an adult track for everyone twelve years of age on up and a Kids in the Book training for kids Kindergarten through 5th grades. (A sack lunch is provided for each child registered.)

This will be the most enjoyable, beneficial, Bible training event we will ever offer, and we don't want anyone to miss it.

I want to encourage you to preregister now so we can make sure we have an adequate supply of support materials on hand for both adults and children. You can again go to the C.E. website www.cedept.com and register online.

This event is being provided free of charge to every group of five or more. For groups of less than five the cost is $5.00 per person. This event is going to be awesome and we don't want anyone to miss it so we are covering the expense as completely as we can to make it possible for you to bring your entire church if you choose to.
