During this time Satan will be out of circulation. Righteousness will prevail. Christ will be revealed as the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. It will be a time of great spiritual blessing and holy joy. The resurrected saints will assist Christ in ruling the world.
Peace will prevail in this new world order. Isaiah described it in this manner, "They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against a Nation, nor will they train for war anymore." (Isa. 2:4)
The Prince of Peace will reign supreme and there will be peace on earth. It will be a wonderful world without war and violence.
The curse placed on the earth in the Garden of Eden will be partially lifted. Isaiah 11:6-9 tells us that, "the wolf will live with the lamb. The leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; a little child will lead them. The cow will feed with the bear, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox, the infant will play near the hole of the cobra, and the young child will put his head into the vipers nest. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea."
With all of the animals domesticated one could have a lion or a tiger for a house pet. It will be an amazing world.
In this new world order longevity of life will be normal. Isa. 65:20 speaks about the death of a person one hundred years old as the death of a child.
Isaiah 35:5-6 describes our health during this time. He writes, "Then the eyes of the blind will be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped, then the lame shall leap like a deer and the tongue of the dumb sing."
Physical deformities will be healed and sickness will vanish. You won't need to spend money for health care. "And the inhabitants shall not say, I am sick." (Isa. 33:24)
This new world order will not be a time of idleness. According to Isa. 65:21-24, "They will build houses and dwell in them. They will plant vineyards and eat their fruit. No longer will they build houses and others live in them, or plant and others eat. For as the days of a tree, so will be the day of my people, my chosen ones will long enjoy the works of their hands."
When the tribulation is over it will be a time to go to work, replanting, rebuilding and reorganizing the planet that was severely damaged during the tribulation.
The citizens of this new world will be the resurrected saints who will assist Christ in ruling the world. Their bodies will be like the resurrected body of Christ. Time and space will be irrelevant. Their bodies will be without spot or blemish. They will enjoy perfect health. The millennium saints will be vivacious, beautiful and handsome. Their minds will be functioning at 100 per cent. Scientists tell us that we now only use about 10 percent of our brain power. It is hard to imagine what wonderful things will be invented during this time.
In addition to the resurrected saints, the people that were still alive at the end of the tribulation will be here. They will continue to populate the world. Their children will be born with sin infecting their humanity. They will need to be saved if they expect to go to the new heavens and the new earth. It is possible that some of those without a resurrected body will die during the thousand years.
Zephaniah 3:9 tells us that God, "will restore to the people a pure language, that they all may call on the name of the Lord, to serve Him with one accord." The language barrier will be removed. We will all speak the same language. I am looking forward to not needing an interpreter during this time.
Isaiah also tells us in Isa. 45:23 that during these thousand years, "Every knee will bow, by me every tongue will swear, they will say of me, "In the Lord alone is righteousness and strength, all who raged against Him will come to Him and be put to shame.'
This new world order that we refer to as the Millennium, will end after a thousand years. Satan will be loosed for a little while. He will go out over the earth and deceive many. This will be a real test for those who turned to Christ during this period of time. Some of them may fall away and choose to follow Satan. Satan will gather his followers from the four corners of the world. They will prepare to attack and destroy Israel.
At this time God will send fire from heaven to destroy those who are bent on attacking Israel. This will be followed by the White Throne Judgment. Satan and the unsaved will be banished into the Lake of Fire forever and ever. The saints will then go with Christ to the new heavens and the new earth forever and so shall we ever be.
Saints, as wonderful as the millennium will be the best is yet to come. Heaven will be far better than we can imagine. Keep looking up for our redemption draws near.
