Gabriel and Gloria Martinez made their way to a vacant piece of property near Santa Rosa, Bolivia. While it may have appeared as empty real estate to you and me, Gabriel and Gloria saw it as the key to building strong Godly marriages and strong Godly families in every city, town, and village in their region of Bolivia.
Gabriel and Gloria have a vision to transform Bolivia from the inside out. As recently appointed missionaries, they are called to minister to married couples and men and women entering the sacred bond of marriage. Together, they are spearheading a project to turn that vacant land into a marriage retreat center that will strategically impact communities throughout Bolivia. The retreat center will host couples, providing biblical teaching, mentoring, counseling, and encouragement. As marriages are transformed, entire families and communities will be transformed.
Bolivia is a landlocked country in South America, with an incredible variety of terrain and climate. It boasts majestic mountains and beautiful jungles that extend to the Amazon River Basin. Bolivia’s beautiful landscapes are exceeded only by the beauty of the Bolivian people themselves. Bolivia has a multiethnic population of 11 million, and more than three dozen languages are spoken across the country.
Mission Minded Men (MMM) is joining forces with Gabriel and Gloria to make their dream a reality. The 2021 MMM Annual Project will be constructing marriage retreat facilities in Bolivia. Initial construction has already begun, led by Gabriel and Gloria. They have already scheduled four events on the property for this coming year. In the weeks and months ahead, you will hear more about Gabriel, Gloria, and specific plans for this project.
MMM has decided to move the 2021 CCCU Missions Banquet from April to October due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions. Our hope is to hold an in-person banquet. Please mark your calendar for the 2021 CCCU Missions Banquet on Saturday, October 16th, at 5:00 PM at Crossroads CCCU in Circleville, Ohio! In the event that we are unable to hold an in-person banquet on October 16th, the 2021 CCCU Missions Banquet will be held virtually on that date.
The coming year is filled with opportunities for ministry in our communities and around the world. Perhaps you, your family, your church, or the churches in your community could play a strategic role in completing this important project by serving on a work team or funding a portion of the construction costs. Join us today and pray for the transformation of marriages and families throughout Bolivia!
