The Church on Como, led by Rev. Tim & Beth Tabor, has launched an important ministry to victims of human trafficking. The church operates a Drop In Center for victims, which provides a safe environment and a first point of contact victims.
Through this ministry, resources, seminars, and speakers on human trafficking, addiction, and recovery are available to CCCU churches. Brooke Rickman leads COMO (Compassion Outreach Ministries of Ohio), the umbrella organization for the Drop In Center for Human Trafficking and Como Recovery. She is available for presentations on human trafficking in-services. Presentations can vary in length, from 5 -30 minutes to share about the ministry. 30 minute presentations include a speaker from Como Recovery and tie in addiction and trafficking. Training sessions are also available, including "An Introduction to Human Trafficking" and "Human Trafficking Seminar." The seminars are initial training required to volunteer at the Drop In Center.
