Ministerial Conference will be held on Monday, April 8th, and Tuesday, April 9th, on the campus of our Ohio Christian University. The theme of the conference is “ENGAGE: EVANGELISM AT THE INTERSECTION OF FAITH AND CULTURE.” Participants will hear from well-known ministry leaders, be encouraged, and better equipped to share the Gospel in ministry and life.

The 2019 CCCU Missions Banquet, sponsored by our Mission Minded Men (MMM), will be held on Saturday, April 27, at 5:00 PM at the Crossroads CCCU in Circleville, Ohio.
CCCU Missionary Rev. Benji Jenkins, Country Director for our Papua New Guinea field, will speak from his heart about the Great Commission and challenge participants to take new ground for the Kingdom of God.

The Northeast District met today, Friday, July 27th, 2018, for its annual District Council at Lily Lake Campground in Port Crane, New York. Ministers, delegates, and district officials elected officers for the coming Council terms. Many significant votes were taken. Results are listed below.
The West Central District met today, Saturday, July 14th, 2018, for its 39th annual District Council at Grace Ministries in Columbus, Ohio. Ministers, delegates, and district officials elected officers for the coming Council terms. Many significant votes were taken. Results are listed below.

The South Central District met Friday, July 13th, 2018, for its 60th annual District Council at Brookside Church in Chillicothe, Ohio. Ministers, delegates, and district officials gathered to elect officers for the coming Council terms. Many significant votes were taken. Results are listed below.

The ECY Department is proud to welcome Rev. Aaron Green as President of the General Evangelical Christian Youth (ECY) Board. Green was appointed by General Board of Trustees to fill the unexpired term of Rev. Michael Tipton, who was appointed General Missionary Superintendent.
Rev. Gary Heimbach has been appointed by the South Central District Board of Trustees as the next South Central District Superintendent. Gary will assume his new duties on July 20th.

Rev. Mike Holbrook has been elected General Superintendent of The Church of Christ in Christian Union (CCCU). Mike brings a wealth of experience to the leadership of the CCCU. He has served as the South Central District Superintendent, Assistant District Superintendent and Senior Pastor of Circleville First Church of Christ in Christian Union for sixteen years.

The Churches of Christ in Christian Union met Tuesday, June 19th, and Wednesday, June 20th, 2018, for the 36th General Council at Ohio Christian University in Circleville, Ohio. Ministers, delegates, and denominational officials elected officers and considered resolutions for the coming Council terms. Many significant votes were taken.
The 2018 CCCU Missions Banquet, sponsored by our Mission Minded Men (MMM), will be held on Saturday, April 21, at 5:00 PM at the Crossroads CCCU in Circleville, Ohio.
Dr. Dan Schafer, the President of World Gospel Mission, will speak from his heart about the Great Commission and challenge participants to take new ground for the Kingdom of God. Ohio Christian University’s Ablaze will be singing.

The General Board of Trustees has appointed Rev. Michael Tipton as General Missionary Superintendent. He began his duties on March 1, 2018. Tipton will fulfill the unexpired term of Dr. David Lattimer.

In September, the Caribbean islands of Dominica and St. Croix were hit with two major hurricanes, including Hurricane Maria which struck the island of Dominica as a Category 5 hurricane with sustained winds of over 150 miles per hour. Both islands were devasted by these storms. There are sixteen CCCU churches in Dominica and one CCCU church in St. Croix. Nearly every church was damaged, and many churches were severely damaged.

Dr. Jon Kulaga has been hired to be the 11th president for Ohio Christian University (OCU). Kulaga will start August 1st and comes from Asbury University, Wilmore, Kentucky, where he has been the chief operating officer and chief academic officer for 10 years. He received unanimous approval by both the OCU and Churches of Christ in Christian Union boards. Kulaga fills the role vacated by Dr. Mark Smith, OCU's president since 2006, who will become the president of Columbia International University, Columbia, South Carolina, on July 1st.

On January 1, 2016, eight U.S. Hispanic congregations were transferred from the Sanctified Church denomination to The Churches of Christ in Christian Union. These congregations have been placed under our care with the full blessing of their mother church.
The Church on Como, led by Rev. Tim & Beth Tabor, has launched an important ministry to victims of human trafficking. The church operates a Drop In Center for victims, which provides a safe environment and a first point of contact victims.
